The HMND 01 Alpha Bipedal is UK-based Humanoid's first bipedal humanoid, unveiled on 2 December 2025. It stands 1.79 m, weighs 90 kg, walks at up to 5.4 km/h (1.5 m/s), and has 29 degrees of freedom (excluding end-effectors) with a 15 kg bimanual payload. End-effectors swap between 12-DoF five-fingered hands and 1-DoF parallel grippers; the head carries 6 RGB cameras, 2 depth sensors and a 6-microphone array, backed by haptic, force/torque and joint-torque feedback. A swappable 3-hour battery powers onboard NVIDIA Jetson Orin AGX + Intel i9 compute. Designed for industrial, household and service tasks, it can walk straight and curved trajectories, turn in place, sidestep, squat, hop, run, manipulate objects with precision, recover from omnidirectional pushes, and coordinate with other humanoid or wheeled robots. Autonomy runs on Humanoid's KinetIQ framework. The company states the robot was built in five months and walked stably 48 hours after assembly (self-reported).
