About

NVIDIA GR00T (Generalist Robot 00 Technology) is a foundation model and platform for humanoid robotics, evolved through three major releases: N1 (2024), N1.5 (May 2025) with improved sim-to-real transfer, and N2 (Jan 2026 at CES) adding whole-body control improvements. GR00T runs on NVIDIA Jetson Thor onboard compute and integrates with the Isaac Sim simulation environment for synthetic data generation.

Key Differentiator
Dual-system architecture (slow planning + fast execution) on purpose-built Jetson Thor hardware
Funding Context

NVIDIA internal project; Jetson Thor hardware revenue estimated at $2B+ by 2027
